Thus far I’ve only used it to train myself
/ family and friends. My goal is to expand the scope of the business.
Until then, I’m staying busy in the industry with various
other projects.
My Philosophy - make fitness fun, functional, convenient,
and consistent.
Functional fitness uses integrated exercise to
train the nervous system to coordinate movement. Some of the functional
principles include: perform multi-joint exercises, stand up to train,
activate the core, engage neutralizer, stabilizer, and postural
muscles, and train your equilibrium reflexes.
I’ve recently come across a simple training
apparatus that uses body weight in functional ways. They call it
suspension training as you use your body mass, working angles, and
stability principles to adjust intensity.
It’s called the TRX (Total body Resistance
eXercise) system.
Now that the TRX system has become the nucleus
of my resistance training, it's hard to imagine life without it.
Not only does it improve my chances of obtaining a new personal
record (PR) in the sport of triathlon, it also makes day-to-day
activities easier. The functional thrust of the TRX makes all movement
more fluid, balanced, and consequently more enjoyable. I love the
simplicity of the equipment and the intensity and effectiveness
of the workout! This thing rocks!
